Electrical Apprenticeship, Journeyman, and Licensure Program

Enroll in our comprehensive Electrical program! Our curriculum satisfies the formal vocational training hours required before an individual can sit for licensing exams through Virginia’s Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations (DPOR). With four levels available (Electrical Levels 1 – 4), students can tailor their education to their needs and experience. No prior coursework or industry experience is required for the Level 1 class, and students do not need to be employed by an electrical company to enroll.

This hybrid program blends classroom instruction, hands-on lab training, and online content. Classes meet one evening per week, allowing students to work full-time or part-time while attending. Level 1 covers basic safety, construction math, hand and power tools, and an introduction to electrical trades and safety skills. Higher levels delve into electrical circuits, controls, the National Electrical Code (NEC), device boxes, raceways, conductors, electrical drawings, residential service skills, and test equipment, ensuring comprehensive knowledge for all regulatory requirements.
